Dried Bitter Gourd with Minced

What you need

  1. Oil    1 cup
  2. Dried Bitter Gourd    100 gm
  3. Mince (qeema) or Boneless chicken     1/2 kg
  4. Onions    50 gm
  5. Tomatoes      3 chopped
  6. Garlic cloves     6-7 chopped
  7. Salt    To Taste
  8. Turmeric powder    1/2 teaspoon
  9. Garam masala    1/2 teaspoon

Directions

  1. Soak bitter gourd in water for 30 minutes. Drain water.
  2. Fry bitter gourd for 10 minutes.
  3. In a separate pan fry onions until light brown and add chicken/mince until cooked.
  4. Add tomatoes, spices and salt, garlic as per your taste.
  5. Add bitter gourd, mix well and leave it on low heat for 10 minutes.

Cooking Tip

Soak bitter gourd for 30minutes before cooking.
Dried onions should be fried on very low heat.
